About IMO Records

IMO Records has been selling drum and bass, jungle and hardcore on vinyl since 1998.

It started as a mail-order service and a shop in south London, at the point when this music was still being cut to dubplate first and pressed later. The shop has gone, the mail order never stopped, and the stock has kept growing in the same direction: twelves, mostly, across drum and bass, jungle, breakbeat hardcore and dubstep.

What that means in practice is a catalogue of around 1,400 records that is deep rather than broad. We are not trying to stock everything. We stock this music, we have stocked it for nearly thirty years, and we still have a lot of the 2000 to 2012 releases that went out of print while the rest of the industry moved to digital.

Alongside the records we carry turntables, mixers, cartridges and styluses, headphones, speakers and record bags, from Kanto, Pioneer DJ, Technics, Ortofon and Magma.

Every record is checked before it goes out, posted in a stiffened record mailer from our own stock in London. UK orders of records, CDs and vinyl care over £50 are delivered free, and we post worldwide.

You will also find us on Discogs, where we trade as IMOrecords.
