Hi-Fi Speakers and Turntables

Kanto is the home listening end of what we stock, and it sits apart from the DJ gear for a reason. These are speakers and a turntable for playing records in a room, not for mixing in one.

If the question is which pair you can plug a deck straight into, the answer is the YU4 and the YU6. Both have a phono pre-amp built in, so a turntable without one connects directly and you need nothing in between. The rest of the range expects a line-level source, so pair those with a deck that has its own pre-amp, like the Kanto OBI3, which has one built in alongside Bluetooth 5.3.

The ORA and ORA4 are the desktop pair, closer to a reference monitor, with Bluetooth, USB and a subwoofer output. The UKI is the compact desktop option, with Bluetooth, USB-C and a headphone socket. The REN is the largest powered bookshelf pair here and takes HDMI ARC, so it will run a television as well as a record player. The TUK comes powered or passive, and the TUK Grand is passive only, which means you supply the amplifier.

Stands matter more than people expect. The S2 lifts desktop speakers to ear height, and the SP26 and SPH do the same job from the floor.

Prices start at £29.99 for a pair of desktop stands. Equipment postage is charged by weight and is separate from the free UK delivery on records, CDs and vinyl care over £50.
