Additional Info: This is an extremely special release for Nu Energy Limited, the warped off-sping of the renowned Nu Energy label, as it features two tracks produced by Nervous Test Pilot (Aka Paul Taylor). Some of you may know Paul from his articles in the monthly magazine Computer Music. The creation of this release was assisted by Nu Energy’s most hard working and highly respected engineer K Complex. A full in-depth article covered the whole process and featured in the December 2006 issue of the magazine. Both the tracks have also been successfully licensed to forthcoming album on Resist.
Working alongside Paul Taylor and K Complex in the creation of these future anthems was Jazz singer Sarah Hoblyn whose heavenly vocals appear on both tracks.
"Believe Me" incorporates a thumping, dynamic fast-paced percussion, dirty driving bassline which build the pace and groove for the track. A filtering Trance riff gradually takes form with alluring snippets of the vocals teasing us the track progresses into its full flow. The breath-taking lead riff combined with the extremely euphoric chilling vocals take full effect in the breakdown where a Drum and Bass loop takes the track to another level. This combined with a bass and sub synth adds to the variety of the track. The choral samples layered with the vocal melody emphasises the drop which is infinitely euphoric! Top of the game K Complex production and a quality track that will have many a raver rushing their t**s off!
“Motion” involves a more stomping kick, techy percussion, clever fills and bouncy bassline ensuring a more ravey and fun blend to the track. A bubbling bouncy cheeky acid intro synth takes us nicely through to the breakdown. Sarah’s seriously uplifting vocals takes us to a higher level combined with a retro organ main riff add to the fun unique sound of the track not too dissimilar to a “Corona” / ‘90s Dance style. Bubbling 303 lines infused with the vocals and main riff and K Complex’s outstanding production skills ensure this to be a massive hit on the dance floors!
